Closed Captions Missing from Several 'On Demand' Movies

Ugh, I have ordered a movie from On Demand through Comcast and it does not have closed captions! It states that it has closed captions by displaying the (cc) symbol. I fall for it every time. I will have to do a lot of rewinds to try to understand what was said or what happened. It ruins the movie watching experience. I can't relax.

I will write another letter to Comcast to let them be aware of this and to urge them to provide more captioning for more movies On Demand, if not every movie. They really should not be advertising that the movie has closed captions if it will not be closed captioned. At least get this part changed.

Ok, I am going to try to enjoy this movie heavy with dialougue. At least the popcorn is good.

What, they have closed-captioned On Demand movies? News to me. Netflix has never had closed-captioned On Demand movies to my knowledge. Only the DVDs are closed-captioned. I quit Netflix because they didn't closed-caption their On Demand movies. I suggest you do the same. Boycott Netflix. If you ask me, I think Netflix should give us reduced membership fees because we cannot enjoy On Demand movies...

That is a really odd, really sad situation. This has happened before? Do you have a twitter account? Comcast has people that monitor twitter for Comcast, and they respond quickly.

comcast is completely insensitive to the needs of hearing impaired patrons. closed captions {CC} are absent from on-demand programming. they 'pass-the-buck' by claiming that the networks do not include CC comcast acquires for on-demand viewing. this is highly unlikely since it would entail deleting info included in original broadcasts. they wont fix it until they are mandated by law to do so.
